This is where it begins... sun drenched days; solitude; magnificent scenery; the haunting call of the loon; the solitary flight of the bald eagle; wild flowers, mushrooms and berries; miles of shallow coves and deep channels; back bays and weedy shorelines; fast rapids; five species of fish; black bear; and seasoned guides. You have just arrived at Lloyd Lake Lodge.
Lloyd Lake lies among the hills in a beautiful wilderness in north western Saskatchewan, approximately 190 miles south of the Northwest Territories and about 100 air miles from Fort McMurray, Alberta. Lloyd Lake has a long tradition of excellent fishing and the tradition continues with the bear hunting, introduced in 2001. Each day dawns, brimming with anticipation; then at day's end, complete relaxation and a host of stories to be shared.
Fishing and hunting in Saskatchewan has always been a priority for Sam. He spends time seeking out an area that will provide a quality fishing or hunting trip; that is how he came to be at Lloyd Lake Lodge. After many years as the owner/operator of an environmental drilling company, Sam decided it was time for a change, time to work at something he enjoyed. Sam states, "I have tried my hand at various jobs over the years, but none as rich in experiences as this. The appreciation of friendships, both new and old, and the joy I feel in the beauty of nature are realized at Lloyd Lake."
We invite you to come and enjoy hours of non stop fishing or a heart stopping bear hunt. Acquire new friendships and share the camaraderie . . . come share the Lloyd Lake experience with us.
Sincerely, Sam Qualls |
